- iOS 18.5 Beta 3 has just been released to developers
- The small update most likely focuses on bug corrections
- All the big changes seem to come in iOS 19 later in summer
Apple has just published the third beta developer of iOS 18.5, and it comes with some adjustments that could improve mail and parameters applications for you. But it’s a very light update overall, and if you were waiting for huge changes, you could be disappointed.
The first modification can be found in the Settings application. There, the beta iOS 18.5 version added an Applecare + larger banner at the top of the page dedicated to the Apple Guarantee service. You can also find more information on Applecare + for each product saved in the Apple Account section of the Settings application, which makes Apple’s service easier to find.
The other new article found in the beta iOS 18.5 version concerns the messaging application. In this case, Apple added a check to deactivate the contact photos in your reception box. This can be found by pressing the three -point button in the upper corner to the right of the mail, then selecting the option to display the contact photos.
Previously, you had to dig into the email settings to find this control.
A minor update
It should be noted that these changes were present in the previous 18.5 beta 18.5, as we described earlier in April. Without any other leading features added to the latest iOS 18.5 BETA 3 version, this suggests that the last update could rather focus on behind -the -scenes and performance improvements.
We do not know when exactly iOS 18.5 will be launched in beta, but we know that iOS 18.4.1 is available for the general public.
This update focuses on bug corrections, with solutions for a range of problems as part of the version. This includes a fix for a carplay bug that has made entertainment in the car of many people inoperative or difficult to use.
Looking further, Apple should announce iOS 19 at its world conference for developers (WWDC) on June 9. This update would be accompanied by a large -scale design overhaul and a list of new interesting features, which probably take a lot of development time at Apple.
If this is the case, the majority of major updates in iOS 18.5 has much more meaning, and could be a sign that more subordinate updates are on the way.
