- The screen time is defined to obtain new parental checks in iOS 18.5
- Other modifications include the postal adjustments, parameters and more
- iOS 18.5 should be launched next week
Apple is on the verge of the publication of the iOS 18.5 update, and it will be delivered with a lot of new useful features that could improve all the best iPhones when it arrives. And to judge by Apple’s publication notes for the update, there is a particularly useful change at screen time.
According to Apple, parents will soon be informed when their screenword of screen time has been successfully entered in a child’s device. This should immediately inform parents that their offspring found a way to go beyond restrictions on their aircraft.
The screen time can be used to limit a person’s duration in a specified application, block inappropriate content and limit access to peripherals to predefined times. If a child finds a way to get around these restrictions, he may be able to change or deactivate them.
Parents will also be able to obtain similar notifications in MacOS once they have installed the MacOS 15.5 update. The creations of candidates both iOS 18.5 and macOS 15.5 were published yesterday, the full versions that should be launched next week.
More changes to come on iOS 18.5
Improved parental controls are not the only changes to come to the next updates to the Apple operating system. There are minor adjustments like Apple Grouping A new Pride Harmony Wallpaper to support LGBT rights, but some wider changes also arrive.
The mail application now offers options to display or hide contact photos in your reception box, while you can also deactivate the group by the sender’s view. In the Settings application, in the meantime, it is now easier to view your Applecare + information and learn more about the service. These updates have already been identified in the 18.5 beta version in early April.
The changes are not only focused on the last iPhones. Users of the iPhone 13 will also benefit from it, with satellite services provided by operators available for all models in the iPhone 13 range. This does not refer to Apple’s own satellite services – such as emergency SOs via satellite – but rather those provided by carriers, such as T -Mobile collaboration with Starlink.
With iOS 18.5 on the edge of the public launch, it will not take long before everyone can try these new features. This should settle well for the Global Conference of Apple Developers (WWDC) in June, where iOS 19 should be unveiled in the world.
