- Ipvanish has just added its secure browser to its VPN macos desktop and windows applications
- Secure Browser is a solution entirely based on the cloud, allowing you to visit potentially dangerous websites without risk
- Unlike antivirus programs, the secure browser never allows threats to reach your computer in the first place, protecting you from malware and trackers
IPVanish has just stimulated the security offer of its desktop applications by integrating its secure browser tool directly into its Windows and MacOS VPNs.
Ipvanish Secure Browser allows you to browse the web remotely, entirely in the cloud. It protects you from malware, trackers and various exploits, because what you consult is essentially an entirely disinfected version of the site. None of the potentially bad things reach your computer.
The latest update has made the browser secure much easier to use for a wider range of users – something that could help IPVanish to compete with the best VPN services.
How does the secure IPVanish browser work?
Originally launched at the end of 2024, the IPVanish secure browser was previously an autonomous functionality. You can access it via a web application or a browser extension, using your choice browser.
Now you no longer need to remember the website address to start the secure browser, because it is integrated into the VPN IPVanish customer via Windows and Mac VPN applications.
The secure IPVanish browser runs entirely in the cloud using the remote browser isolation (RBI). This means that every website you visit is returned remotely, not on your device.
When using the browser, you need an interactive visual flow of the website. This disinfected flow protects you from potential threats, including malware or trackers, because none of this is really busy on your computer.
Nothing is stored locally; No cookie, history or cache is left behind once you have finished navigation. More importantly, each session is disposable and sandy, with persistent data or persistent fingerprints. IPVanish also promises to get rid of all navigation data when you leave the application.
The latter Rease highlights the commitment of Ziff Davies, the parent company of IPVanish, to create a multi -purpose cybersecurity solution as opposed to a single virtual private network (VPN).
“Secure Browser is an essential element of the current plans of IPVanish and is a key element of our passage from the VPN supplier to a complete security suite,” said IPVanish commercial director Subbu Sthanu.
To this end, earlier this year, the protection of IPVanish malware has been confirmed as the best on the market. The company also recently launched a series of free safety tools, including a tool that masks your IP and scans the Dark web for disclosed emails.
How to use the IPVanish secure browser
IPVanish made the browser secure available as part of its advanced plan. Users of this plan have up to 30 hours of secure navigation per month. You will see a session timer in the area so that you can keep an eye on the navigation time you have for the month.
You can subscribe to the advanced plan from the equivalent of $ 3.29 per month, and it includes the IPVanish VPN, threat protection, secure browser and cloud backup.
Once you are advanced, the launch of the secure browser is easy. Simply launch the IPVanish Desktop application and run it from there. The browser works a bit like the others, so you can enter website addresses to start a secure and disposable navigation session.
