Iqbal stimulates British deputies on “Uraan Pakistan”

LONDON:

The Minister of Planning, Ahsan Iqbal, held a meeting with British parliamentarians on Wednesday at the house of Portcullis Westminster and underlined the deeply rooted economic and cultural ties of Pakistan with the United Kingdom.

Addressing the rally, he underlined the current government accent on the development of Balutchistan, ensuring the elevation of local communities through key infrastructure and investment projects.

He informed parliamentarians on Uraan Pakistan, a national development initiative aimed at the holistic elevation of 240 million Pakistani.

The Minister stressed that the initiative was not linked to any specific government but was designed to promote economic and social progress.

The main characteristics of the plan include specialized programs for the Pakistani diaspora, such as young people and the “Champions of Reform” initiative, which encourages British-Pakistani efficient to collaborate with the government in various sectors.

Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to strengthen global partnerships, the Minister stressed the importance of strategic links with the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union.

He underlined the accent put by Pakistan on improving trade and economic cooperation with these key partners to reach shared prosperity.

Earlier, British MP Mohammad Yasin welcomed Iqbal in the British Parliament and congratulated his dedication to development projects at AJK.
