The Balutchistan government ended all the crossing points on Sunday with Iran in Panjgur, Gwadar and Kech for an unpertured period, citing problems of regional instability and security after a recent climbing in the Middle East.
According to official declarations of district administrations, border crossings with Iran in Panjgur, Gwadar and Kech have been closed until further notice.
In Panjgur, the authorities confirmed that the movement through the crossings of Cheedgi and Jirak-Prom would remain suspended.
Local officials urged residents to avoid unnecessary trips and cooperate with the authorities during this increased alert period.
The Gwadar administration has also confirmed the closure of the Gabd-Kalato 250 border corridor, according to the directives of the Balutchistan government. In a public call, the officials asked for public cooperation and advised individuals to contact the local authorities for any orientation or assistance.
Meanwhile, the border crossing of Radeeg-Mand in the Kech district was also closed. The deputy commissioner, Kech, said that the decision had been made in response to the “volatile situation in Iran” and underlined the need for prudence and public cooperation.
The Ministry of Pakistan in the interior also advised its citizens to avoid going to Iran due to the current conflict between Iran and Israel. In addition, the airspace between the two countries remains suspended.
Despite these closures, Taftan’s border crossing in the Chagai district remains operational.
The authorities have confirmed that cross -border trade and passenger movement continue as usual.
