Islamabad:
The Iraqi authorities have introduced new regulations for pilgrims to the country’s sacred religious sites, establishing specific age -related conditions for visas issuing.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interconfessional Harmony, Iraq will no longer deliver pilgrimage visas to men under the age of 50 if they travel alone.
However, men under the age of 50 can apply if they are accompanied by their families, he added.
Updated directives are the rationalization of the pilgrimage process and the guarantee of ordered arrangements for visitors to the Iraqi holy sanctuaries.
