I love a good treasure hunt, and the more dysfunctional, it’s better – so I’m really intrigued by Low life, This is one of the last Korean dramas to come to one of the best streaming services.
Disney has released very good things from Korea lately: it is Nine puzzles was a slow rewarding burn of a serial killer thriller, and while Bass is a very different type of story, it seems that it will be of the same quality.
The 11 Parter is written and directed by Kang Yun-Seong, who wrote Disney + Big bet And made the successful film Outlaws. It is a story of small intriguers who hear about the ultimate treasure hunt and decide to do so. Naturally, a multitude of other people have the same idea, and many of these people are exactly the kind of people you don’t want to meet.

What we know of low life so far
Bass is a period drama that takes place in the 1970s in the middle of the South Korea “Murky” underworld, and as the Hollywood Reporter reports, the show of the show is the Korean star veteran Ryu Seung-ryong-which you may have seen in the Disney Plus movement. He embodies Conman Oh Gwanseok, a veteran crook who is looking for the last compulsory score, and he recruits his rather naive nephew Oh Heedong (the rising star Yang Se-Jong) to help.
I have not yet seen the show but I like the configuration: it reminds me of countless odd couple dramas such as The Peerless MidnightWho with Robert de Niro and James Brolin. Having incompatible protagonists confronted with all kinds of obstacles is generally a recipe for a very entertaining period, and the Buddy Dynamic tends to be very fun, so I hope it will earn a place like one of the best Disney +shows.
Bass will be presented as an original Hulu in the United States and will broadcast internationally on Disney +. The first is July 16, with three episodes available both, and the eight remaining episodes will be published each week until the final in two games on August 13.
