The launch of the iPhone 17 series has not yet been confirmed, but with Apple generally revealing its range of flagship phones in September of each year, the next generation of iphones is probably a bit on the horizon.
It seems that Apple is preparing its next flagship products for the wider world with field tests, at least new images shared by an online prediction would suggest.
The images shared at X (formerly Twitter) by the Fox Pupy user apparently show a person using the iPhone 17 Pro on the street.

The images show that the person holding two phones, one of which seems to be an iPhone 16 Pro and the other resembling the design of the iPhone 17 Pro.
As we have previously pointed out, the iPhone 17 Pro should be launched with a new design that incorporates a Google Pixel style camera bar. We previously thought it was an aesthetic choice, but more recent rumors of a new 8X telephoto lens camera could imply that the new camera bar created for a new goal.
Anyway, the iPhone 17 pro in these new images seems to be in one case, which masks if the new phone has a camera bar. The main reason why we are convinced that this is not the iPhone 16 of the current generation is the position of the Flash and Lidar sensor of the phone on the right side of the rear panel – the current generation model has everything in the square box on the left.
Although Fox Pupy is not a name we know and generally does not publish on technological rumors, the images have been republished by Apple Mark Gurman’s leading analyst.
In republished, Gurman simply wrote: “Wow. It looks legitimate.” Gurman is widely considered a main voice on the circuit of Apple’s rumors, so a co-signer like this gives a lot of weight to the images.
A new camera control button?
There is still one thing to notice for the pixels among us – as reported 9TO5MAC, there have been some suggestions that the images show a control surface of the new or second camera on the upper edge of the phone.
For some, the case on the phone may seem to have a notch or a gap along the upper side, which could be used by the left hand in landscape mode, while control of the existing camera is used on the right. For me, it seems that the light of the sun thought.
Personally, I would be quite surprised if it was the new button. This does not seem to be a particularly ergonomic place for a touch button, especially on the iPhone 17 Pro Max (which should have a 6.9 -inch screen). However, Apple is not unrelated to the occasional strange iPhone function – Do you remember 3D Touch?
