A flight from Islamabad to Dubai was delayed by seven hours, causing frustration among around 200 passengers who organized a demonstration at the New Islamabad airport.

The flight, operated by a private airline, was initially to leave at 2:15 p.m. However, despite the long delay, the flight could not take off even after seven hours.

Passengers, including the elderly, women and children, expressed their anger by protesting against the airport, demanding an explanation of the delay.

The airline staff were notably absent, adding to the frustration of passengers. Consequently, the passengers, who have been waiting for hours, were left without any assistance or information concerning the status of theft.

The demonstration disrupted operations at the airport, and passengers urged the airline to tackle the situation and guarantee that these delays do not occur in the future.

Earlier, due to heavy rains and fog, six flights to the northern regions were canceled, which has an impact on flight operations. The dense fog affects visibility at Faisalabad, Multan, Siallekot and Islamabad airports.

Lahore airport is experiencing thunderstorms with lightning, and partial rain is underway in Peshawar.

According to the flight schedule, four flights from Islamabad to Gilgit (PK 601, 602, 605 and 606) were canceled.

In addition, two Islamabad flights in Skardu (PK 451 and 452) were also canceled. The flight calendar indicates delays on arrival and departure of 14 other flights in various airports.
