- ISOFTSTONE grows quickly, getting closer to becoming the PC number two supplier from China
- Focus on the B2B and the playing game its difficult domestic market
- Global expansion could follow whether this growth dynamic continues tirelessly
There is a fast growing PC brand in China that you have probably never heard of, but is on the right track to become the second largest PC seller in the country, passing HP and Apple.
ISOFTSTONE, a more familiar name in Chinese corporate circles, has experienced explosive and three -digit growth, with a rapid expansion game portfolio, it began to attract the attention of its domestic market – even if it does not sell to consumers abroad.
According to the latest channel reports, ISOFTSTONE sent 0.89 million PCs in the first quarter of 2025, against 0.42 million in T1 2024 – an increase of 111% in just one year. In T1 2024, ISOFTSTONE held a market share of 5%. It is now 10%, only 2% behind Huawei, 2% ahead of Apple and 3% ahead of HP.
Increase of 111% in annual shift
A large part of the rapid success of isoftstone comes from its commercial history. The company is deeply involved in the China education and public sectors, areas that have benefited from stable support and government grants, even if the expenses of large companies have been mainly flat.
ISOFTSTONE is also gaining ground in playing PCs, a category that continues to grow – up 24% in annual shift – in particular at the end of performance.
The global PC market in mainland China should remain stable this year, because the effect of consumer grants is starting to fade. SMB and public sectors should however grow, however, by 4% and 1%, respectively.
“The PC landscape of continental China has evolved considerably over the past two years, shaped by a more competitive landscape for domestic brands,” said Emma Xu, main analyst at Canalys.
“Chinese sellers focused on consumer such as Isofastone, Huawei, Honor and Xiaomi have all reported growth in the first quarter of 2025, gaining sharing at the expense of traditional trade heavy goods like Lenovo, HP and Dell.”
ISOFTSTONE, however, might not have an easy job to claim second place. As Xu noted, “the recent announcement of Huawei Harmonyos PCs in May could mark another potential inflection point. Although it is confronted with a difficult battle to stimulate the adoption of consumers and developers, Huawei’s long -standing strength in mobile devices and the emerging differentiation of AI could see Harmonyos redefine competitive landscapes for long -term PCs. ”
In the current state of things, ISOFTSTONE focuses on China. But with past participation in global projects, such as a data center in Singapore, it may not remain local for a long time. If, supported by interior success, it is developing internationally, the global PC market could be for a seismic reshuffle.
