- A huge leak has revealed that Apple’s Mac plans for the next 18 months
- It contains data on nearly 20 upcoming Mac office computers and MacBooks
- There are a few intriguing surprises nestled inside the flight
Apple is known to keep its products to come a closely guarded secret, but that does not stop information to escape from its fortress walls. This has just reproduced, and this time, a mother filon of Mac data apparently emerged from the interior of the company’s laboratories.
This leak comes from Appleinsider, and the media indicates that it comes from “our own data and information shared with us”. It includes records on almost 20 of the best Macs that Apple should be released in the next year, giving us a rare overview of the company’s future plans.
Appleinsider’s sources have shared product code names and other related information, which Appleinsider used to reconstruct what could be in the menu. In some cases, it takes the form of a simple sense: Apple plans to upgrade all its macbooks to the series of M5 chips, for example.
However, there are a few interesting songs, such as Appleinsider’s assertion that an iMac M5 could be in preparation, alongside a new Mac Pro with an ultra or M5 ultra chip. The iMac and the Mac Pro have spent years without a significant upgrade.
We can also glean an intriguing detail on Apple’s M6 MacBook Pro, which should be launched at the end of 2026. Rumors said that this could be accompanied by an in -depth hardware revision (including an OLED display), but that the alleged identifier numbers of the device – K114 and K116 – imply that the laptop could keep its current size options.
If the 14 and 16 in K114 and K116 correspond to screen measurements, this suggests that the M6 MacBook Pro could keep its current 14 -inch and 16 inch options.
Nearly 20 new macs in progress
Almost all code names of the report peripherals could be equaled with existing devices depending on the previous versions.
For example, the Mac Mini with a M4 Pro chip used the J773S model number, so that the new code name J873S in Appleinsider data probably corresponds to a M5 Pro variant. However, there was a mysterious apparatus that could not be identified, and Appleinsider speculates that it could be the very popular MacBook powered by the Apple A18 chip. Time will say about it.
In addition to the expected models we discussed above, Appleinsider’s report omitted model identifiers for some Macs that you expect to see. Although the output has discussed the Mac Mini with an M5 Pro chip, for example, it indicates that it was not informed of the M5 Mac Mac of entry -level range – although it has added that this device is surely a data if the M5 Pro model is also in development.
There is a lot of data to go through the Appleinsider report, so we put it in a table below for a simple visualization. We have included the predicted release dates alongside Mac models, although it is only estimates and could change over time. The table includes only devices with identifier numbers provided by Appleinsider, so that variants like the M5 Mac Mini are not present.
