- Wear OS 6 will be published for Android watches later this year
- It is said that he obtains two new unexpected features: first of all, a dedicated water lock for Pixel Watch
- Second, the adaptive load will improve the health of the long -term battery of your watch
Wear OS 6 has been revealed, and it brings a lot of changes that used them best Android smart watches. Changes made to the user experience, a visual overhaul, adding the AI assistant from Google Gemini to your wrist … There will be a lot for carriers of the best smart watches (which are not for the iPhone) to put their teeth. You can read our ventilation of the OS 6 use function here.
However, there are two other features preceding arriving with Wear OS 6, either at launch, or as future update.
First, according to Android Authority, you can expect a new adaptive load function. The adaptive load is often used so that the devices extend the life of the battery, preventing the over-loaded battery too often, which can cause the battery degradation.
Android Authority found the code channels, revealing a function similar to that of the best pixel phones: break the load at 80% completion and using an hour before unplugging your device. Samsung watches would have a similar functionality with the Samsung adjacent os-adjacent system, One Ui Watch 8.
Water lock on pixel watches
Pixel watches have a touch screen locking function, which automatically allows itself during swimming training, but it cannot eject the water from the crevices in the same way as the Samsung and Apple watches can. Nor does it have a dedicated labeled water lock, which deactivates the touch screen during precipitation, showers or baths.
Current pixel watches should obtain a water locking functionality at least, again via examination of the Android Authority code in the US 6 developer.
The code does not really detail what this new feature will do, so although there is always an external chance that it grabs water indeed, it is more likely that it is an update for existing pixel watches, limited to a hot key to touching screen under a more logical name to treat wet screens.
The touch screens are notoriously nervous and imperfect when they are wet, and try to operate a watch in high rain or the shower could be difficult if a water locking function is not available. Although this does not change the way in which swimming and similar training sessions work on pixel watches, they will become at least more usable in the rain.
