The leaks suggest that – with shades of discreet black, white and dark blue – the iPhone 17 pro and the iPhone 17 Pro Max could be sold in orange, and now a video has given us our best look to date on a dummy unit of this color.
Shared by Leaker Majin BU, you can see that it is a fairly striking shade, and much more colorful than Apple’s pro models tend to be. That it is a good color is more questionable – BU says that it “seems so good”, but many answers to their post are much more negative.
@Anxiousholly, for example, said “it looks hideous”, while @ black0nder said “the worst color in the history of the iPhone”. But @YSl_laurentttt said: “That it is official and I receive the 17 pro”, and @vernons said: “If it really looks like that, it could be the winner of this year upgrade.” So it really seems to be a shade of love or hatred.

A good movement
Whatever you think of this specific choice of colors, however, we would say that it is a positive sign that Apple could offer such a shade, because it could mean that the company becomes more comfortable with the idea that its professional phones do not always have to be sold in intelligent and discreet shades.
We have been calling more colorful phones for a long time, so maybe Apple finally listens. But that we see more could depend on how this orange shade is sold.
And that assumes that Apple really launches a pro iPhone 17 in this color. For the moment, we take this rumor with a pinch of salt, but we should discover it soon, because the iPhone 17 series should land in early September, with a leak pointing towards September 9.
