American president Donald Trump described the attack on India’s missiles against Pakistan as “a shame” and expressed his hope that the situation will quickly defuse itself.

Speaking during a test ceremony for special envoy Steve Witkoff at the White House, Trump told journalists: “It’s a shame. We just heard about it while we were walking in the doors of the oval. I just heard about this.”

He added: “They have been fighting for many decades … I hope it ends very quickly.”

Trump comments occurred a few hours after the Indian air strikes confirmed by the Pakistan CEO hit five locations, including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Muridke, targeting civil zones, including a mosque. Sources of security said that a child was one of three people martyred in the Indian attack.

The armed forces of Pakistan responded, lowering two Indian jets while protecting all the Pakistani aircraft, the security sources have also said that reprisal operations were underway.

The Ministry of Defense of India admitted strikes but claimed nine targets, without details. Pakistan has closed Islamabad airspace, diverting flights, in the middle of a “red alert”. The CEO ISPR has sworn that Pakistan would respond “both and instead of its choice,” calling the attack “loose”. Muzaffarabad experienced a post-frapped.

Tensions between nuclear weapons neighbors were strongly intensified after the attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, India illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Iiojk), which killed 26 people.

India immediately blamed the elements of Pakistan but did not propose any evidence, an assertion that Islamabad firmly rejected.

In retaliation, India on April 23 closed the Wagah lands border, suspended the industrial water treaty and revoked visas for Pakistani nationals.

Pakistan responded by declaring any disturbance of water an “act of war” and by closing its side of the Wagah crossing.

The diplomatic crisis has intensified when the Pakistan Senate unanimously rejected the allegations of India as foundation on April 25. The next day, the Pakistani High Commissioner in London was vandalized during pro-Indian demonstrations.
