- AWS AI Head declares a new age for agent ai
- AWS also announces a multitude of new tools and services for AI
- The agentic AI could be “a tectonic change,” says AWS
AWS said AI agents could be as key as internet dawn, in terms of effect that technology could have on our daily personal and professional life.
Speaking at the company’s AWS summit in New York, Swami Sivasubramanian, vice-president of agency AI, explained how AI agents are ready to significantly accelerate innovation and improve productivity in each industry.
“This is the most impactful change we have seen since the dawn of the Internet,” said Sivasubramanian, “with these agents, it is a passage to the service as a software.”
“Tectonic change”
“It is a tectonic change in a few dimensions,” said Sivasubramanian. “This upsets the way the software is built. It also introduces a multitude of new challenges to deploy it and exploitation, and potentially the most impact, it changes the way software interacts with the world – and how we interact with software. ”
During the speech, Sivasubramanian announced Amazon Bedrock Agentcore, a new suite of tools focused on the agent he described as “everything you need to put agents in production”.
He also revealed that AWS Marketplace would store AI agents and tools, allowing users to discover, buy and deploy AI agent solutions to AWS partners in a centralized catalog.
This includes predefined agents, agent tools, agent development solutions, professional services and software solutions, providing a central location to users to deploy and set up agents via the new Agentcore execution tool.
The Amazon S3 vectors, which says, says, is the first storage of cloud objects with the management of native vectors for the workloads of AI, helping to considerably reduce the cost of storage and questioning of vectors, which makes it profitable to keep and use large vector data sets to improve AI.
“All this meets to make AWS the best place to build and deploy agents,” said Sivasubramanian.
“We are still at the start of the agents, but with these innovations, we translate the path to allow you to build a bright future.”
