The Ryzen Ai Max + 395 is the AI APU lighthouse of AMD, offering solid performance for creative tasks, IA workloads and games. A number of PC manufacturers have already built mobile workstations around it, and the least known is the last to join the list with its new Smart 900.
This mini PC combines high -end specifications with a daring industrial design which would not seem in its place in the Alienware range, and makes you ask why Dell (and Asus and MSI elsewhere) have still published nothing built around the powerful powerful AMD chip.
Developed on the Zen 5 architecture, the APU Ryzen Ai Max + 395 ‘Strix Halo’ is a chip with 16 cores with 32 threads and a turbo clock up to 5.1 GHz. It has an NPU 50 tops for AI tasks and Radeon 8060S graphics with RDNA 3.5 architecture.
It even has a SD 4.0 card location
The GPU includes 40 calculation units, offering competitive power for creative tasks, 3D workloads and automatic learning.
The Smart 900 supports the LPDDR5 memory at 8000 MHz (we imagine up to 128 GB, but nothing has been confirmed) and includes two SSD PCIe 4.0 locations. This combination means rapid reading speeds and a solid multitasking, making it a solid choice for publishing, modeling and execution of local inference.
For creators and media professionals, it includes a rare bonus – a SD 4.0 card location on the front panel, allowing rapid media transfers without the need for an adapter.
At the front, users obtain two USB 3.2 ports, a 4.0 USB type type and the SD slit. At the rear are USB 2.0 and 3.2 additional ports, another USB 4.0 Type-C, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4.
Bluetooth support versions of versions 4.2 to 5.2, and networking includes Wi-Fi 7 and 2.5 Gbit / Sterthernet.
The case itself uses anodized aluminum and has a 4-liter imprint. It should adapt well in professional or domestic environments without appearing basic or bulky, and design makes a point of massive exclamation look like – and what should not love about it?
There is no word on prices or even a concrete release date, but we know that it will be available globally during the launch – so stay attentive for more details, let’s hope it soon.
