Google spent a lot of time eliminating Google Assistant on its range of devices so that gemini can reign. Now, it finally happens on the range of Google smart home products – and we already have a launch date.
Google abandoned the ad in an article on X (see below), revealing that Gemini for early access to home will be launched on October 1 and invited users to register for updates. According to Engadget, Gemini for the house will be available in free and paid versions, but it is not yet certain.

Google first unveiled Gemini for the house at Made by Google Event in August, but has no demonstration live from its capacities. Despite this absence, we expect Google to deliver its first look of Gemini’s intelligent house functions on October 1.
According to Google’s blog post, Gemini for the house is “a whole new and more powerful assistant” and will have the possibility of providing the answers to your more complex vocal orders. For example, you can ask Gemini on your smart speaker or your smart screen to play a song from a specific decade, or even ask it to adjust your nest thermostat to a specific temperature while grating the lights.
The integration of Gemini with Google’s intelligent home devices was long to come, so it’s a rather exciting news. But Gemini for the house is not the only thing we expect to appear.
Hello new smart house devices
In addition to the arrival of Gemini for the house, we expect Google to unveil new intelligent house equipment – whose details were disclosed a few weeks ago.
One of the main devices we are expecting is a new nest camera, which Google has teased in its article. Although it has a striking resemblance to the existing Google Nest Cam, it is likely that it will be a whole new model with the integration of Gemini as well as other improved features. We also do not exclude the possibility that a new nest bell made an appearance – but it is the new intelligent speaker that I am looking for.
During the event made by Google made by Google, we caught a rapid snapshot of a mysterious intelligent speaker nest, but Google never followed with an explanation, leaving us in darkness with burning questions. Now that we have the next Gemini for Home Event on the horizon, a new Google Nest speaker is probably one of the shiny stars of the launch.
Since Google has not improved its range of smart speakers from the Nest audio in 2021, the company had ample time to give its new model a little TLC on the vocal assistant front. Now that Alexa + has been deployed for users in the United States, and Improved Apple Siri is on the way, it will be interesting to see what Google will do to get ahead of its competitors.
