Jack Quaid did not feel loved on the set of Companion.
In the film, Quaid plays the antagonist, who brings his Android girlfriend by escapade with her friends.
The boys’ star revealed that the film crew rallied around the protagonist and was against his character.
He said Entertainment every week: “There is this kind of interesting thing that occurs on a movie set or a television where – and that makes sense! – The crew will come together around the character who is the protagonist,” says Quaid.
“They will root the protagonist, and it is great, you want it. I remember that they would somehow say the little jokes about Josh, who is completely deserved, but I had to settle them,” he shared.
He said he remembered any specific joke he had to take, “but it was just a kind of general atmosphere.”
He continued: “I tried to see it as a good sign. I think it is, if the crew, which is your first audience, is rooted for the protagonist and against the antagonist, it’s a thousand For a hundred what you want.
Quaid noted that he was always on the other side of this dynamic, because it is his first time to play a villain.
“I went there when it was done to the person who plays the antagonist, and it makes sense, but you have to somehow settle this,” he said. “You have to be mistaken to believe that the character you play is a good guy, and I’m so happy that I don’t have to do that anymore, because he is a real head. But that was the challenge of that , because I don’t do this too often. “
Companion Stars Sophie Thatcher as a girlfriend of Jack Quaid. The film is currently in cinemas.
