If and when Paul enters politics, he will have Trump as a key ally. Trump shared his own experience in politics as an outsider in the interview.
“It’s hard. A lot of people are talking about it. It had to be done. And I still had a chance because we’re getting to a certain age. We have a few years left. You know, the timing was good, but if I had waited any longer, it wouldn’t have been good because of the clock. You know, the famous clock. Father’s time,” Trump said.
At a rally Wednesday, Trump gave Paul his “complete and total support” if the boxer chose to pursue political office.
