The trial accusing the quarter of a sexual assault Jake Retzlaff would have been rejected.
The lawyers of Retzlaff and the woman who accused her of sexual assault in her apartment in November 2023 filed a joint request Monday before the court of the 3rd district of Salt Lake City to reject the case, according to several reports.
The joint request is due to “the prejudices and against the bottom of the plaintiff’s complaint against the defendant”, which results in the applicant who cannot rely the prosecution.

This occurs after Retzlaff intended to transfer from Byu because he provided for a suspension of seven games due to the breakdown of the university code of honor. Having a year of eligibility as a graduate student, Retzlaff could continue to ensure that he is playing a full season before a potential jump in the NFL.
Byu is led by the Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the Last Days, and engaging in consensual prenuptial sex is a violation of the Code of Honor of the School. It is a strict set of rules that asks students to “live a chaste and virtuous life”, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Although Retzlaff is not a Mormon, not all students registered in Byu must follow the code of honor.
A woman, who was called Jane Doe Ag, accused Retzlaff of sexual assault in a prosecution filed in May. Retzlaff was prosecuted for injuries, an intentional aggression and infliction of emotional distress for an alleged incident in his apartment in November 2023.
Retzlaff, 22, was not criminally charged.

The woman said she met Retzlaff via social media before agreeing to visit her in her apartment to play video games, by ESPN.
The initial complaint allegedly alleged that Retzlaff had put her hands around the woman’s neck and raped her after trying to leave her apartment, according to ESPN. However, the new deposits of last Friday had denied Retzlaff denying the allegations, saying that the two gave themselves up to consensual sex.
“Mr. Retzlaff specifically and categorically denies all the allegations he has bitten, raped or strangled [the woman]Who are ridiculous and bizarre allegations, which are all false and false, “wrote the lawyers of Retzlaff, via ESPN.
Retzlaff lawyers have also accused the extortion woman, saying that the quarterrier had never heard of her for more than a year. But, now that it is “a project of perspective of the NFL”, the trial is released, reported USA Today, quoting Friday documents.
Retzlaff was transferred to Byu in 2023, and opened the way in 2024 with a 11-2 file for cougars.

While the trial is rejected, Retzlaff still faces the suspension of Byu as he said in his refusal of allegations according to which he claims to have had consensual sex.
We do not know where Retzlaff will be transferred, or which teams can be interested in him this year.
