NFL network Tom Pelisero reported on Friday morning that the NFL examined the interaction for a “additional discipline possible”. He noted that Carter’s early ejection has already served as a suspension of a match because it had been launched before the first shot of the game.

Carter, for his part, apologized after the match.

“It was a mistake that happened on my side. It will not happen again,” said Carter. “I feel bad for my teammates and fans there. I do it for them. I do it for my family, too. But fans, they showed the most love.”
