The defensive platform of the Eagles of Philadelphia, Jalen Carter, spoke with the journalists a few hours after being expelled from the first game of the team season against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday evening.
Carter was disqualified from the match after spitting around the Cowboys quarter, Dak Prescott, before the first scrum game.
He told journalists that he was “calm” at the moment but that he was not too much in the details of what led him to spit in Prescott. NBC’s broadcast showed Prescott spitting towards the ground before Carter spit it.

“I was calm,” said Carter. “I left the field calmly. I was not crazy. I could really do nothing else. The decision of the referee is the decision of the referee in this situation.”
He said that at the time when he had not spoken with head coach Nick Sirianni and that if a suspension fell, he would manage the situation when it happened.

He was asked what it was to look at the victory of the Eagles 24-20 against the cowboys.
“It was intense for me,” he said. “I wanted to be so bad with the guys. Just to support and help, even just standing on the touch, but things happened.

Carter was a professional bowling player for the first time in 2024. He had 42 plated and 4.5 bags in 2024.
