Jalen Hurts reached new levels last season – he brought the Lombardi trophy to Philadelphia.
Upon the season, Heck, even entering the playoffs, the jury was on the quarter of the Eagles in Philadelphia, with a lot thinking that he was a game manager with legs on a sound list.
But he excited it in the playoffs – his Eagles have collected 95 points in their last two games of the season, the match for the title NFC and the Super Bowl.

For Brian Dawkins, however, it is not necessarily a surprise. Dawkins knew that Hurts could silence the criticisms shortly after his career had a brutal blow.
Hurts, of course, was put on the bench in the 2018 national championship with Alabama, and Tua Tagovailoa took over. Ironically, Tagovailoa launched the touch of walking to, ironically, the future receiver of the Eagles, Devonta Smith.
“When it happened, it taught me a lot about his character … This young man was what I saw being presented in Philadelphia and growing up as a quarterrier. And he still grows,” said Dawkins in a recent interview with PK Press Club Digital.
However, now that Hurts has a ring (and two appearances of the Super Bowl in three years), Dawkins is waiting for more.
“For me, I am disconcerted when people go crazy when someone says that Jalen does not play his potential. Some games, he was not,” said Dawkins. “I am someone I am always critical of me on the film. When I’m not at my best, I’m honest with myself. And I’m sure he’s the same way. If it is the same way, he would say the same exact things.
“But what distinguishes him is when he is in good health, and he enters these major environments, he plays at a different level. This is a good problem, but when you flash this, people always expect it. You have to hold it at a higher level.”
