James Cook may be present at the Buffalo Bills training camp this week, but he will not back down with regard to contractual negotiations with the franchise.
Cook, the leader of the NFL in the affected touch last season, said his position after participating in the first two days of the camp.
“We have discussions,” he said, via ESPN. “I mean, I deserve what I want, I need, and it will finally happen.”

The journalists followed, asking Cook if he feels confident that the invoices will respond to requests for his contract extension.
“I mean, but it happens, it will be done. Wherever it happens,” he said.
The 25 -year -old is not lacking in confidence, and it was seen this off -season when he was put online on Instagram with a legend of “15 mills [per] year.”

If this is the case, Cook would be tied with the veteran of the Baltimore Ravens Derrick Henry for the third highest average annual value in the position of ball carrier in the NFL.
Cook previously posted on the social networks of his contractual situation, and he noted on Thursday that he had no regrets at the idea of making public what he feels.
Bills GM Brandon Beane discussed Cook’s situation with journalists at the start of the training camp.
“Sometimes you can’t get on the same wavelength, or sometimes you try to integrate it,” said Beane, by ESPN. “Sometimes the guys have left here that we really wanted. We could not make it work. But I can tell you, I hope, when we sit here at next year’s training camp that James Cook practiced and always represents red, white and blue.”

Cook has another year on his recruit agreement with the Bills, which took him to the second round of the NFL 2022 draft of Georgia. If Cook and the Bills cannot reach an extension by next season, he would be a free agent unless the team decides to slap his franchise label.
Unlike other players, past and present, Cook participated in the compulsory practices of the off -season of Bills while his contractual negotiations were underway.
“This is my work,” he said about reports. “I have to participate so as not to be sentenced to a fine and I just come here and show them that I am ready to go and win what I have to get.”
Cook described the Bills as “big organization” and that for which he wants to continue playing. But he clearly indicated where he is, and it does not seem to be ready to leave money on the table.
To accompany his 16 affected touchs last season, Cook rushed for 1,009, his second consecutive year which crossed the 1,000 yards after having totaled 1,122 in a campaign in 2023.

Although it is clear that Cook is the ball carrier on the depth painting, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson have spent it for snaps and presented capacities to help the dynamic bills offensive in the field and in the goals area.
Cook only played 48% of offensive shots during his 16 Bills games last season.
