Jamie Lee Curtis settles into her Los Angeles home after wildfires

After the devastating and deadly fires in Los Angeles, Jamie Lee Curtis is finally back home two weeks after her evacuation.

The 66-year-old actor took to his social media account and posted an adorable video of a blue jay quenching its thirst and diving into stagnant water on a stone bowl in Curtis’s backyard at her home in Los Angeles.

Sharing his feelings about being saved from the wildfires, Curtis wrote on his Instagram: “We returned to our home intact.”

“As we left and thanked the security crews and local boys, this beautiful blue bird reminiscent of nature and wildlife that lives among us in our canyon was surviving in the midst of this terrible, terrifying, horrific wildfire that took so much , so violently.”

Earlier this month, Curtis announced she would donate $1 million to her community suffering from the fires and its aftermath.

During a recent appearance on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, THE Last Showgirl The actress called the wildfire a “truly horrible situation.”

“As you know, where I live is on fire right now. The whole town of Pacific Palisades is burning. I flew here last night, I was on the plane, I started receiving text messages and it’s fucking dirty, you guys, it’s just a disaster in Southern California,” she told Fallon at the time.

“It’s true, it’s a really horrible situation. You know, I’m obviously going to go home first thing tomorrow, be with my family and try to help my friends,” she added.
