Jason Isaacs returns to work after earning his first-ever Golden Globe nomination for his performance in The White Lotus Season 3.
The British actor, who won praise for his gripping portrayal of Tim Ratliff, a dangerously cunning white-collar criminal, isn’t taking a break at all.
For Isaacs, the nomination marks a major milestone, but he’s even more excited to get back on set.
He admitted that while the publicity tour around the hit HBO series was an incredible experience, spending months promoting a series isn’t where his true passion lies.
“I was excited to get back to work because we all spent most of the year doing advertising. [for The White Lotus]. And while I’m really privileged and proud to be a part of the show, it’s not what I do for a living,” he said.
Getting back to character work reminded him why he’s here in the first place.
“So, I just made three films in a row. And I feel excited again, energized by what I’m supposed to do, which is tell stories.”
This renewed energy comes with a busy schedule.
Isaacs revealed he was heading to New York soon, modestly describing upcoming projects as “a bunch of boring stuff.”
Yet beneath this humble tone, it is clear that he is wanted and eager to collaborate. “I meet various people through this work,” he shared.
As for what audiences can look forward to next, Isaacs has three upcoming films wrapped up.
He recently completed Victorian Psycho in Dublin. Then came Eleven daysdirected by Peter Landesman and starring Golden Globe nominees Diego Luna and Rhea Seehorn.
More recently, he reunited with Gillian Anderson for The Julia set after having already worked together on The path of salt, an experience he described as “beautiful”.
With accolades now fueling new enthusiasm and new projects lined up, Isaacs confidently embarks on a career moment that fans will be eager to watch unfold.
