Put bars from your Dolby Atmos on notice?
We have been spoiled for choice with regard to the best bars in his Dolby Atmos in recent months. The Sonos Arc Ultra and Marshall Heston 120 proved to be excellent bars of his all-in-one for less than $ 1,000, winning 4 out of 5 and 5 in 5 in their critics respectively.
Last year, the Samsung HW-Q990D ceased as our favorite multi-box system solution thanks to its incredible power and its immersive and nuanced sound-and we are impatient to get their hands on its successor, the Samsung HW-Q990F, very soon.
But, could the 1300mk2 bar and the 1000mk2 bar be about to put these bars from its notice? In terms of features, the two bars are packed with ready-to-use support for streaming services (although their rivals too), but it is the detachable rear speakers from the 1300 MK2 bar that distinguishes it: something we love in its predecessor, the 1300x bar when we revised it. This is a practical solution to maintain your clear speaker configuration when it is not used.
The 1000mk2 bar can be a little more expensive than the Sonos Arc Ultra and the Marshall Heston 120 ($ 200 more to be precise), but it has the additional advantage of a inclusive subwoofer which is likely to give it an advantage in the bass service.
The 1300 MK2 bar, at a price of $ 1,699, is expected to be launched at a price similar to the Samsung HW-Q990F, which recently dropped to $ 1,599.99, but offers 2,470 W of total power to the Q990F 756W, which would actually put it more in line with the JBL Bar 1000mk2.
On paper, JBL bars have all the potential to offer more power at prices similar to many competitors and if it can get correct performance, JBL could really shake the Dolby Atmos sound bar market.
