Jelly Roll has shut down allegations that his wife Bunnie Xo married him for his money, and his response is as disarming as it is funny.
Talk to Taste of country nightsThe 41-year-old rapper said he actually enjoys hearing the gold diggers’ accusations, even if his wife is less amused.
“I love it when they call her a gold digger,” he said. “She hates it. It inflames her.”
For Jelly Roll, however, the suggestion is simply too absurd to take seriously.
“It absolutely tickles my fancy because when I met her I was homeless and living in a converted van in 1996, so if anyone was panning for gold it was me, Popeye. I was couch surfing and made it to the bedroom.”

This franchise is at the heart of Bunnie Xo’s memoir Stripped: Unfiltered and Unapologeticreleased in February and includes candid accounts of their early relationships, including Jelly Roll’s infidelity.

“I’m just proud of her for telling her story unapologetically,” he said. “She speaks fearlessly about everything from domestic assault to sexual assault. I’m just proud of her. She’s so brave.”
