Jennifer Aniston has opened up about how aging has changed her approach to fitness.
THE Friends the star said People that she adopted a smarter mindset for a healthy body and that her focus on workouts has changed over the years.
“You really have to honor where your body is, which is something I’ve gotten a lot better at as I’ve gotten older,” she admitted.
Aniston revealed she learned to listen to her body.
There’s nothing wrong with giving him what he needs rather than making him work when he doesn’t want it,” she noted. “There’s no problem, no guilt.”
THE Good morning The star went on to say, “As I have become more educated about the body over the years, I have been able to become stronger than I ever imagined.”
On how she motivates her, Aniston gives herself a pep talk. “I’ll say to myself, ‘You can do anything for 20 minutes.'”
And even taking simpler steps, like simply putting on workout clothes.
“Sometimes these workout pants stay on, and I haven’t even gone near the gym, but that’s OK. It’s one step closer to getting there. Then it’s just like, oh, this is my cute look for the day,” she added.
