Jennifer Lopez was reportedly surprised and hurt after discovering she wasn’t mentioned anywhere in Alex Rodriguez’s new documentary series, Alex vs. ARod.
The series focused on her life and personal journey, as many fans expected her years with Lopez to appear somewhere in the story since their relationship once attracted so much public attention.
However, the former couple started dating in 2017 and got engaged in 2019 and later split.
According to Closer, a source said Lopez was waiting to see how she would be shown in the project.
The insider further said that the Selen actress was “preparing to appear in this documentary” and shared that those around her had also discussed the possibility for months.
When the series came out without any reference to her, the source said the moment struck him as “shocking” and “embarrassing.”
The insider explained that Lopez considered the silence very personal, as they explained: “The fact that he effectively erased her existence and chose to completely remove her from his life story is highly insulting and triggering.”
The report also mentions previous speculation linking Rodriguez to Madison LaCroy. LaCroy said the two were “never physical,” but the insider claimed Lopez was still affected by issues during the relationship.
Additionally, they added that there was “absolutely no mention of JLo as if she never even existed.”
The insider added that the Out of Sight star still felt problems in their relationship.
They said: “There was all this talk about her mistakes on Alex’s part about how he could have treated her differently.”
Another claim from the insider said there was “absolutely no mention of J Lo like she never even existed,” which made him feel like Rodriguez “owes her a lot of apology for what happened between them.”
The insider also said the On the Floor hitmaker thought she supported him in many ways, including “his business career after performing,” and she couldn’t understand why she was left out.
