Jeremy Renner recently recalled how a “tiny but monumental shift” led to the devastating snow accident.
The extract of his next memoirs published in The Times of London Journal, in which the 54 -year -old American actor revealed how he and his nephew Alex worked to clean the snow from outside of his Lake Tahoe residence on New Year’s Day in 2023.
Renner, who led his big snowcat, shared that his nephew was surrounded by the danger of being crushed by the vehicle while cleaning the snow.
He recalled: “Before leaving the driver’s taxi! – Apply the parking brake, “says the manual.
However, the actor nominated at the Oscars did not engage the parking brake or disengaged the steel slopes and at that time, a shift in the tiny but monumental spirit changed the course of my life for good.
“My feet lost their grip on the mobile tracks, and I never got to the cabin. I was violently forward, uncontrollable. In this fraction of a second, I was catapulted metallic tracks in rotation, arms which rushed. I entered the front of the slopes, propelled forward, he said on the fascinated ice.
“There were terrible crunchy sounds like 14,000 lb of galvanized steel machines slowly, inexorably, monotonous, crushing my body. It was a horrible soundtrack,” The Avengers Star noted.
Before concluding, it is relevant to mention that following this accident, more than 38 bones of Renner broke down and he ended up receiving rescue care first in a Reno hospital nearby and later at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
