Jerry Jones of Cowboys by honoring Charlie Kirk

The Dallas cowboys were one of the teams to honor Charlie Kirk before kick -off Sunday after the assassination of the conservative influencer in UTAH earlier in the week.

The cowboys put a photo of Kirk on their video in the Stade AT&T before the team played the New York Giants.

The owner of the Cowboys team, Jerry Jones, spoke to journalists after the match and explained why the team had decided to honor the 31 -year -old man.

“We all disturb violence. And that has an impact on us all. And, certainly, we all stand together on any front, compared to the threat of violence. … I was a young guy, but aware, in the 1960s, when we had enormous violence, the lost president (John F.) Kennedy and his brother and many, many others, Martin Luther King,” he said.

“This is something that we all have to be aware, supporting our police and doing everything possible to control violence.”

Kirk was shot dead while he speaks during an event at the University of Utah Valley in Orem, Utah. The shooting sparked a 33 -hour man hunt and led to the arrest of Tyler Robinson as part of Friday’s incident.

Breakers and memories have taken place across the country in recent days to honor his memory.
