Aaron Rodgers’ comments on his last meeting with the New York Jets apparently left a bad impression on the team leadership.
Addressing the media about the NFL 2025 draft Thursday, the new managing director Darren Mougey dodged a series of questions concerning the comments made by the quadruple MVP of the League when it appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” last week.

Rodgers opened during his last meeting with Mougey and the new head coach Aaron Glenn, and painted the photo of him caught up in their insensitivity.

“It was for the least two years interesting, but I thought that when I stole across the country on my own ten, that there was going to be a conversation. And the confusing thing for me – and the strange thing – was when I went there, I meet the coach … We start to speak, it lacks the room.”
Rodgers said Glenn had returned with Mougey, but the conversation took a quick turn.
“We sit in the office and I think we are going to have this long conversation – I stole across the country – and 20 seconds in it goes – I mean literally, I speak to GM of something, and it leans at the end of its seat and goes” so you want to play football? “”

Mougey declared during the combination in February that he had “a lot of respect for Aaron Rodgers as a player and person, the temple of renown of the first ballot”, but he remained by the decision to move “beyond this next process here with the free agency and the project”.
