American senator Jim Banks, R-Ind., Called the WNBA and Indiana fever to apologize to fever fans after the league investigation did not find any evidence that corroborated the allegations of racial comments directed against Angel Reese in a recent match.
The league investigated the allegations involving the Chicago Sky Star last month after a match on May 17 organized by fever.

“Based on the information collected to date, including fans concerned, the team and the arena staff, as well as the game and video review of the game, we have not been supported [the report,]”The league said in a statement.

“The WNBA is committed to promoting a safe and inclusive environment for everyone and will continue to be vigilant in the application of our code of fans.”
The sky and fever has published statements after the League investigation, but Republican American senator Jim Banks believes that all parties involved – in particular fever – owe fans.
“(Reese) accused the basis of Indiana Fever fans of being racist. They investigated it. They said that these accusations were false. The least she could do is apologize to our big state and the fans who present themselves to these games and say:” I am sorry, I was wrong. “Obviously, she will not do this,” said Banks on Tuesday during an appearance on Outkick’s “Don’t @ with Dan Dakich.”

The WNBA investigation finds no proof of hateful comments towards Angel Reese
“These are horrible accusations. They were not true. Fans did not shout racial insults to Angel Reese or opposite players. I mean, where is Caitlin Clark? Where is Indiana fever? Where is the WNBA which says that this investigation – there should not have been an investigation. The allegations were false. Where are the apologies? It’s disappointing. “”
It is not clear if Reese informed the WNBA to provoke the investigation. Sky’s head coach Tyler Marsh discovered relationships “when everyone did”. However, Reese said in the past that fans of fever and iowa had been racist towards her.
“It is so degrading for our state and the basis of fans to go through something like that. The least they can do is apologize to fans,” added Banks. “It’s the kind of waste that is thrown all the time.”

Before the start of the 2025 season, the WNBA launched any space for hatred, described as “a multidimensional platform designed to fight hatred and promote respect in all WNBA spaces”. The initiative includes “unified messaging” during games and thanks to social media content and the use of technology fueled by AI to monitor social media activity.
