Jit grills pti leaders on the defamation campaign

The high leaders of the PTI, including lawyer Gohar Ali Khan, Raoof Hasan and Shah Farman, presented themselves on Friday before a joint investigation team (JIT) was recently trained to investigate a smear campaign launched on social networks against public institutions allegedly by the PTI.

According to sources, the JIT questioned managers for 1.5 hours, asking them about PTI’s social media managers. The leaders were also shown all relevant publications on social networks

Lawyer Gohar Ali Khan and others were also asked about the funding of parties. Two members of the PTI Finance Department also appeared before the investigators. The financial team has submitted complete financing files to the JIT.

Later, during a telephone conversation with Express News, Barrister Gohar said that the party respects all institutions and does not want rift with them.

In response to a question, he said that he had never published anything against the institutions of his account. Speaking with reference to his appearance before the JIT, he said that the team had asked questions in a pleasant atmosphere and showed him publications on social networks.

“JIT’s questions will be discussed within the party. We will also discuss requests on social networks with the founder of PTI, Imran Khan,, ”he added.

The team, led by Inspector General of the Islamabad police, investigates the question of whether the accused and their accomplices were involved in an effort organized to spread the troubles in Pakistan thanks to a malicious social media campaign.

Opinions, sent to PTI managers and workers separately, said: “There are enough documents available with the JIT to suggest the involvement of the summoned persons or their close knowledge with the case under investigation”.
