Islamabad:
A JIT formed last year to investigate a smear campaign against public institutions on social networks once again summoned sixteen PTI leaders.
According to a notification published on March 15 by the IGP Islamabad office, there are enough documents available with the JIT to assume that PTI leaders are involved or familiar with the facts and circumstances of the case in question before Jit.
“Consequently, you are invited to appear in person before Jit on 18.03.2025 at 12:00 p.m. at the Central Police Office of the Conference Room, Police Line Headquarters, H-11 ISLAMABAD sector and explain your position in this regard.
“You are also responsible for bringing your CNIC of origin and other evidence or information or documents, if necessary, in your support. In the event of non-apprentices, it will be assumed that you have nothing to present or set up for your defense,” said the opinion.
The federal government led by PML-N has a notification dated September 8, 2024 constituted the JIT under article 30 of the 2016 electronic crimes prevention law under the Islamabad IGP agent.
Jit investigates the question to determine the organized objectives of the accused and their accomplices who would have created chaos and disorder in Pakistan thanks to a malicious social media campaign.
