Former American president Joe Biden received a diagnosis of an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer which has spread to his bones and examines the processing options, a statement from his office said on Sunday.
Friday, the 82 -year -old democrat was “diagnosed with prostate cancer … with metastases with bone”, according to the press release.
“Although this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, cancer seems to be sensitive to hormones that allows effective management.
The former president and his family examine the processing options with his doctors, “he continued.
The diagnosis intervened after Biden felt growing urinary symptoms and was seen last week for a new discovery of a prostate nodule, according to the press release.
The announcement comes as Biden maintains that he could have won the 2024 presidential election, after abandoning the race due to questions about his age and his abilities.
His vice-president, Kamala Harris, finally lost the Republican Donald Trump against Republican.
Last week, a newly published recording of Biden speaking hesitantly and fighting to remember key events and dates fueled a renewed debate on its mental capacities while being in power.
Biden’s son, Beau Biden, died of brain cancer in 2015.
