The Cleveland Browns are turning around the quarter Dillon Gabriel this week against the Vikings of Minnesota in London, while head coach Kevin Stefanski already shakes things up after a start of 1-3.

This is a decision that the 40 -year -old veteran seemed blind.

“Listen, I think I said it on Sunday, whenever you are in this league, everyone is still assessed,” said Flacoco, via Pro Football Talk. “The quarter work is to help your team win football matches. So I don’t know if I planned it to come, but listen, me and Kevin can have a good conversation. It’s not like something that was super long or fired like that. But, it happened to the point, had a good conversation on this subject, and that’s what it is.”

Flacco will go to QB2, saving Gabriel in London, while Shedeur Sanders, the colleague recruit of Gabriel, remains third on the table of depths.

While all the speeches were on the two recruits taken in the draft of the NFL in 2025, especially after Sanders was taken to the fifth round in a shocking way, Stefanski clearly indicated in the training camp that Flacco was the starter after following the practices.

But for four games this season, Flacco launched only two affected by six interceptions, having reached only 58.1% of his passes in the process. As a result, the Browns offensive represents on average only 14 points per game.

Now serving as a backup is not what Flacco had in mind, but he is ready to help Gabriel in any way possible.

“I think the best way to help him is to continue working with a good state of mind every day and to provide this positive energy and to see what he needs on his side,” said Flacoco. “Listen, he’s in it, guy. He is ready to leave. I am sure he is super excited by this opportunity. You can say that he takes him seriously by the way he studies and his intention in meeting rooms and on the field of practice.”

Flacco joined the Browns this season, the same team he miraculously presented to the 2023 qualifiers which earned him the return price of the player of the year. He is the winner of the Super Bowl in AFC North, but with the Ravens of Baltimore, where he spent most of his career.

Given his pedigree, Flacco is disappointed with the way he played to start the season despite being ready if necessary in a safeguard role.

“I think each situation is unique,” he said. “And I think you become emotional on this subject, so it is difficult to draw these experiences in the moment.”

Flacco will be on the touch to watch Gabriel face the Vikings, who fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Dublin, Ireland, week 4, 24-21.
