The Nathan Hot-Dogs champion “ motivated ” by the return of chestnut

The Nathan 2025 hot dog feeding competition will show off the legendary competition eater Joey Chestnut on the CONEY ISLAND promenade after missing the 2024 competition.
As a result, many think that he will recover his belt.
The Chestnut partnership with impossible Foods caused a problem last year, and that ended up keeping it out of the competition. This year, however, Chestnut announced that he and the organizers had found common ground on sponsorship.

“I am delighted to go back to the famous Hot-Dogs restoration competition of Nathan July 4. This event means the world for me. It is a expensive tradition, a celebration of American culture and a large part of my life,” wrote Chestnut on X.
“Although I have and that I continue to associate myself with a variety of companies, some of which in plant spaces, these relationships have never been a conflict with my love for hot dogs. To be clear: Nathan’s is the only hot dog with whom I have ever worked.

Chestnut is hungry to be champion again, and sports books have no one at a distance near to beat him.
The winner of last year, Patrick Bertoletti, who ate 58 hot dogs in 10 minutes, has a big chance to defeat Chestnut and the rest of the field.
If he wins, Chestnut will extend his record for the famous competition with 17 yellow belts.

Although he did not participate in last year’s competition, Chestnut clashed against another legendary competition eater, Takeu Kobayashi, in a special Netflix event called “unfinished beef”. He ate 83 hot dogs, which marked the most eaten in the history of competitive food without being soaked in the water.
On the women’s side, Miki Sudo, who has won three times in a row, should get her 11th pink belt in Coney Island for her career. His biggest competition will be Domenica Dee and Michelle Lesco, the latter, who broke the Sodo victories sequence in 2021.
For those who ignore Nathan’s rules, the delay is only 10 minutes in male and female competitions.
The candidate who consumes not only, but which is also reduced, the most hot dogs and the rolls within the limit of 10 minutes is determined the winner.

The last time there was a meal was 2008, where the chestnut won by eating five hot dogs and rolls in 50 seconds.
The women’s competition will perform first at 10:45 a.m. before men took the stage at noon on July 4.
