John Cena won the 17th Record WWE Championship

There was a palpable difference in the way John Cena participated in his Wrestlemania 41 match against Cody Rhodes for the undisputed WWE championship on Sunday evening.

No colors, no agitation, loyalty and respect and nothing that represented what Cena had built WWE for her entire career. Instead, it was black and white. It was just John Cena and his pursuit of a 17th WWE championship.

Cena’s music trembled the alleging stadium while he was heading for the ring. He raised a towel behind him who said: “The last time is now.” Boos rained chevrons as if the Las Vegas raiders had exploded an eliminatory match.

He may not have wanted a game of Rhodes at the start of the match, avoiding the tangles and waiting for the right time to strike. He did things that a typical Cena did not do – large boots, steep clothespins and mud hole tramps.

The match turned into dog fighting. Rhodes and Cena go from punch for a punch in a rivalry that has brewed since Cena aligned himself with the rock at Elimination Chamber.

Fans? Divide. Duel songs of “Let’s Go Cena” and “Cena Sucks” have sounded throughout the stadium.

Cena at some point could not help. He tried the Shuffle Five Knuckle but was caught with a blow in the eye of Rhodes. The tables have turned. Rhodes hit a disaster kick and a cody cut.

Cena caught Rhodes with an attitude adjustment. After a close fall, Cena then exploited the reshuffle of the five joints. An attitude adjustment of the upper rope was not enough. Not yet.

The match carried. The crowd was noisy. Rhodes played in them and Cena caught him with his finisher and then a submission of Stfu. Rhodes would not leave.

The referee fell and when Rhodes took control, there was nobody to count his well.

Cena tried to get dirty a little when he exhibited the Ring post. He struck an attitude adjustment. The referee woke up and counted one, two – no!

From nowhere, Travis Scott’s music exploded. Scott left Rhodes with a black eye at the end of the elimination room and wanted more. Rhodes became wise and turned the tables on Cena. Just as the referee was going to count the brooch, Scott released the referee from the ring. Rhodes challenged Scott to get into the ring and the two looked at each other. Scott tried a slap, but Rhodes hit him with the Rhodes cross.

Cena took the title and tried to hit Rhodes with Hit. They fought and Rhodes took it. He threatened to hit Cena and Cena begged him. He couldn’t do it.

Cena Low blew Rhodes and hit him with this title.

It was Cena’s time. He pinned Rhodes and solidified his 17th record title.
