The legend of Denver Broncos, John Elway, would have struggled to face the death of his friend, a trading partner and a long -standing agent, Jeff Sperbeck, who was killed in a golf cart accident earlier this year.
Sperbeck died a few days after falling from a golf cart that Elway was driving in April. The two have been together since the Elway play days, and Sperbeck helped lead the charge by starting the old wine company, 7celars.

“John is not doing well in front of the loss and the accident. He was really upset and withdrawn,” said a source on page six in a story published on Tuesday.
Elway avoids accusations of Sperbeck’s death.
The county of Riverside, California, the Sheriff Chad Bianco told 9news in Denver that the fatal accident in golf cart was nothing more than a “tragic accident” and that the investigation into the death was completed.
“It’s over. We talked to all the people involved and we found nothing new. There was nothing criminal, that was what we said since it was a tragic accident,” Bianco told the station.

An Elway lawyer told page six that it was a “terrible situation for everyone”.
“We have always known that John had done nothing wrong, however, that did not reduce sadness,” added the lawyer.
On the death of Sperbeck, Elway published a statement.
“I am absolutely devastated and my heart broken by the death of my close friend, trading partner and agent Jeff Sperbeck,” Elway said in a statement, via ESPN. “There are no words to really express the deep sadness that I feel with the sudden loss of someone who has mean so much for me.
“My heart and my deepest sympathies go to Jeff’s wife, Cori; her children Carly, Sam and Jackson; and all those who knew and loved him. Jeff will miss it deeply for loyalty, wisdom, friendship and love he has brought to my life and the life of so many others.”
