Johnny Depp has just remembered the way he managed the fame.
While the 61 -year -old famous actor admitted to having been “completely panicked” by glory, he recalled the initial difficulties he endured to deal with pressures to become one of the most successful celebrities in Hollywood.
When he appeared in Tara Wood’s Tara Wood’s not Wood documentary series on Tim Burton, Johnny said: “People whispered and would point my finger and all. I felt like a sort of exposed raw nerve.”
He also explained how he “was always linked to a lot of levels” with the acclaimed director, Tim Burton, having worked in films, including, Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow And Charlie and the chocolate factory.
“What I noticed the first time we met was that he didn’t say many words. [Tim] would start a sentence and I would go “oh yeah”, then we were talking about Boris Karloff or something like that. We have linked to many levels, “he said.
However, Johnny spoke of his paranoia of “blowing” the fantastic film of 1990, Edward Scissorhands, Halfway through its manufacture.
He mentioned: “I was thrown into the film but I entered a kind of family in which I had not yet been completely brought.”
“I was absolutely convinced that I suffered it. Tim had repeated everyone in the cast. Everyone. Not me. He didn’t repeat me. He excluded me from distribution and crew,” said Johnny, recalling that Tim’s approach had left him “paranoid”.
