The former head coach and longtime football personality has filed a complaint against the League and Commissioner Roger Goodell, alleging that a “malicious and orchestrated campaign” was used to destroy his career on the run of emails. The disclosed messages came from his ESPN analyst and the “Monday Night Football” broadcaster.
The NFL appealed to the High Court of Nevada in 2022 after a Las Vegas judge rejected the League offers to reject Gruden’s complaint or to order the talks outside the field through an arbitration process which could be supervised by GOODELL.
On Monday, the Supreme Court of Nevada ruled in a decision 5-2 according to which “the arbitration clause in the constitution of the NFL is inadmissible and does not apply to Gruden as an employee”.
The NFL refused to comment on the decision, according to the Associated Press.
The Gruden lawyers applauded the decision in a statement from the Professional Football Conference.

He expressed his hope for a return of the NFL in July during the Lions visit.
“I hope I’m not finished,” Gruden told journalists, via the Free Press of Detroit. “I am about to make a comeback. I work hard to perhaps get one more stroke, but I hope that some of these guys who fell from my branch, if you say it that way, maybe they can commit me because I am looking for a job.
