No trailer has been publicly revealed yet, but Apple TV gave an exclusive preview to the press that teased several cameos, including Martin Scorsese and Drew Barrymore, to name a few. What is the new Apple TV Outcome movie about?
So far we know Result looks like a bright sunny watch, The project has some major talent and is scheduled for release on April 10, but what is this dark comedy about?
In Hill’s own words, Result It’s about “the world’s biggest movie star, Reef Hawk, who is hiding dark secrets about his life that could ruin his perfect career.” He told press at an Apple TV event that “when a video threatens to leak, revealing these secrets, Reef’s crazy lawyer, Ira, who I play,” goes into crisis management mode.
You can probably already guess who plays the beloved Hollywood star the movie centers around. Of course, Reeves is Reef, who eventually embarks on a journey of soul-searching to make amends to anyone he may have wronged in hopes of unmasking who the blackmailer is.
It’s this part of the film’s plot that makes it more of a drama, as the official synopsis states that Reef delves into the depths of his “hidden demons” to stop the mysterious video from ruining his career and shattering his public image.
Diaz, who plays Reef’s lifelong friend Kyle, said “the journey to find out who’s extorting him” sets the stage for a journey of spiritual cleansing into nostalgia. “The encounters turn out to be deep, insightful and hilarious of course,” she said.
From what the cast shared, the emotional core of the film touches on some big themes around vanity, self-love, and technology. “The film uses fame as a metaphor for what we all experience living on social media. Social media has made us obsessed with what people we don’t know think of us, instead of caring about what people who care about us think of us,” Hill said.
