Jonathan Bailey opens up about his sexual orientation in a confessional.
Speaking to Sky News in a recent interview, the actor opened up about his childhood experiences with gender identity.
“I was scared, I felt alone and I felt totally limited at different times in my life,”
“I’ve been through it all,” the actor told the outlet.
“It became clear pretty early on that something that was very specific and clear to me about who I was, it wasn’t safe and it wasn’t celebrated.”
“It feels like we’re in a straitjacket,” he added.
Earlier, while speaking to Forbes about being named Sexiest Man Alive, the actor said: “There’s nothing sexier than progress.”
“Of course, there was no way I wouldn’t go for it this year, when the opportunity presented itself.”
“There’s something about knowing when that invitation came that it’s amazing to be able to accept it without hesitation, knowing that it’s meaningful and impactful, as well as just an incredible and hilarious honor,” Bailey added. “It didn’t escape my attention at all.”
