Jordon Hudson, the girlfriend of North Carolina coach Bill Belichick seemed to throw a subtle shade in a Cleveland Browns reporter on Saturday.
Cleveland.com journalist Mary Kay Cabot jokes about Belichick in apparent reference to Hudson while delivering a speech after receiving the Bill Nunn Memorial Award. The honor is given to a journalist for professional football writers from America for their “long and distinguished contribution to professional football by coverage”.

Cabot began to cover the Browns in 1991, when Belichick initially took over as a head coach. She said in her speech that Belichick would call her and cry if she wrote something he didn’t like.
“Now I understand perfectly why Bill has given difficult times,” added Cabot, via Cleveland.com. “I was 28 years old at the time and he just couldn’t relate to such an old woman.”
Hudson is 24 years old and the relationship she has with Belichick was a huge subject of discussion in the spring after an interview with CBS. Hudson seemed to try to close the questions about their relationship, and he highlighted part of the inner functioning of what is happening between the two.

Hudson seemed to catch the wind of the joke and republished the criticisms that the others had.
“Not much” laughing “,” said the critical post. “No wonder that so many people have a contempt for the media, especially those who want to be history rather than Roprt (sic) on history.”
The frenzy around the relationship of Belichick and Hudson has simmered since its peak in the spring.

Belchick is preparing for his first season as a head coach of the Tar Heels. The North Carolina season begins on September 1 against TCU.
