Football has treated Josh Allen pretty well.
The seventh overall pick in 2018, the Buffalo Bills quarterback parlayed his success on the field into AFC championship games, an MVP award and a $330 million contract.
He’s still waiting for the coveted Super Bowl ring, but he got some much bigger jewelry this offseason when he married singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld.

The “Starving” singer and Allen tied the knot in May in California after about eight months of engagement, and it seems the marriage has already offered a valuable life lesson for Allen.
When asked by ESPN before a recent game what Steinfeld taught him, he gave a convincing answer.
“Maybe I’m more than a football player,” Allen said.

“My whole childhood dream, you know, was to be in this position, and I never thought about anything outside of that or beyond that. I hope I can still play this game for a very long time, and ultimately my goal is to play it as long as I physically can, but there’s also life after that.”
Allen has yet to miss a single start since taking the reins in 2018 and has won double-digit games every season as a full-time starter. His completion percentage of 68.5 this season would be the second-best mark of his career, and his total quarterback rating of 81.3 would surpass his NFL-leading 74.8 mark from last year.

Allen and the Bills are bye this week, so maybe he and Steinfeld are enjoying each other’s company until he returns to practice next week.
