JPMorgan’s brokerage clientele has increased its Bitcoin bets in the third quarter, the bank – in a regulatory filing on Friday – revealing ownership of 5.284 million shares of the BlackRock Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) as of September 30.
These shares were worth $343 million at the end of the quarter. The bank held 3.2 million shares worth $302.6 million at the end of the second quarter.
The bank issued a bullish note on bitcoin earlier this week, suggesting the price could reach $170,000 within 12 months, up from $102,000 currently.
Correction (November 7, 2025, 7:10 p.m. UTC): An earlier version of this story suggested the bank held IBIT for its own account.
