Jude Law is known to play versatile characters in his long career. However, in his opinion, his new role, based on a personality of the real world, “has no face”.
He refers to the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, whom the star depicts in the next film The Kremlin assistant.
During the press conference at the Venice Film Festival, where the film made his debut, he talked about the challenges of playing a politician.
“The delicate side for me was that the public face we see very, very little.
In turn, Jude recognizes that the representation of Vladimir was difficult. “So I was in conflict as an actor because Olivier understandable would like me to portray this or that in a scene with a certain emotion and I felt the conflict of trying to show very little,” he adds.
Apart from Sherlock Holmes Star, Paul Dano, the film also presented Alicia Vikander, Jeffrey Wright and Tom Sturridge.
THE Kremlin Wizard Logline reads as follows: “A young Russian filmmaker, Vadim Baranov becomes an unlikely advisor to Vladimir Putin while he gets up in power in post-Soviet Russia, sailing in the complexity and chaos of the new era.”
