Judge Shah is “not afraid of any reference”

Islamabad:

The judge then superior of the Apex Court, Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, said that he was not afraid of any reference for fault against him to the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC).

“Why fear a reference when you did nothing wrong?” said the judge, who was to become the chief judge of Pakistan before the promulgation of the 26th constitutional amendment.

Judge Shah had informal interaction with journalists after the oath of seven new judges of the Supreme Court on Friday.

In response to a question, he said he would deal with the reference if and when he was filed. “I have no personal enmity against anyone,” he added.

The help of PMs on Rana Sanaullah political affairs earlier this week said that two superior judges of the SC were required to mistreat the procedure when they wrote letters on each question containing critical remarks and disclosing them to the media.

Sanaullah, however, had a clarification later, declaring that his declaration on the filing of a reference against the judges was neither an announcement nor a threat.

Judge Shah and Judge Munib Akhtar were one of the four judges who recently wrote a letter to the chief judge of Pakistan, Yahya Afridi, on the publication of a new seniority list of the judges of the High Court of Islamabad ( CIH).

Earlier, on December 7, judge Shah wrote a letter to CJ Afridi, asking him to convene a full court for hearing the requests filed against the 26th constitutional amendment. Judge Shah had also written letters to the predecessor of Afridi, judge Qazi Faez Isa for more than one opportunity and had seriously criticized him for having allegedly underlined Judicuildy on the day of retirement.

In his recent interaction with journalists, CJ Afridi complained that the letters he had received from certain judges had already been disclosed to the media before being able to see them again.

According to a report, the Federal Minister of Law, Azam Nazeer Tarar, said that Rana Sanaullah had never talked about the deposit of a reference against the judges, except to present his point of view on “misconduct” by some of the Judges in the middle of increasing tensions on the appointment and transfer of higher lawyers.

By talking to the crowd of the express stadium express, Senator PML-N Irfan Siddiqui also said that the federal government did not intend to refer to any judge.

“If such an intention existed, the government would have certainly declared it. Such an action is not carried out in secrecy; there is a procedure appropriate for this. No action of this type is envisaged, and it does not was not discussed in the cabinet. “

He said Rana Sanaullah said that the conduct of certain judges could be in the category of a reference. “However, the law minister said that the government has no reference.

“If such a plan was in place, it would be made public,” he added.

Interaction with journalists

Responding to another comment from a journalist that the judges did not do their job, Judge Shah said that the performance of the judges could be assessed by considering their judgments and their conclusion rate.

“It is accessible to the public on the number of decisions of someone who have been published in law books. All files are available on the Supreme Court website,” he added.

According to some reports, the chief judge of Pakistan Yahya Afridi said that the judges did not act.

The judge of the senior then noted that he interacts with his brother judges and drinks tea with them. However, in a cryptic reference to his differences with certain other judges, he said: “What could I say if no one could see the elephant in the room?”
